Should management of the world's water resources be taken out of the hands of national governments and turned over to an international body?
Greetings, members of the United Nations.
I’m writing this letter on the issue of the world’s water resources management. This issue should be taken seriously because of its importance and relativity to the world’s security. The management of water should be taken out of the hands of national governments and turned over to an international body.
Every year, billions of people die of diseases caused by unclean water and poor sanitation. Others die of dryness because of water shortage.
It’s not just because a person lives in Canada or his parents were born here, he gets to have plenty amount of water, whereas other people don’t get water just because they live somewhere else in the world. This is totally unfair. Everybody was born equally and should have fair access to water.
Water-rich countries like Canada should share their water because access to clean water is very important regarding health issues. As humans, we should all work together as one nation to distribute the water fairly and stop diseases and other world problems.
Thank you for reading my letter and I really hope you take it in consideration.
Sincerely,
Human Being
